Long time no see

I almost posted this without reading the previous post, and I would have looked very silly. The post was titled "It's Tegu Time", and talked about our new female Argentine Extreme Giant Tegu, of which both gender and breeder have been confirmed. Her name is Lacuna, she's 28 inches long, and she's 1 year and (probably) 5 months old, putting her in the last august clutch. Her name comes from the italian word lacuna, meaning 'blank spot or empty area', and refers to her head, which is all white on the top and therefore 'blank' of any black markings. (Note: It can also mean 'gap'. If you want to go that route, it refers to the gap on her head where there is no pattern. So ha.)
Also, here's a picture:

Or three. On to the stuff I was GOING to post before I noticed that this hadn't been posted:

The title of this post serves two purposes:
1) is that it has been a while since I was able to post, as another security issue locked me out of the blog.
2) is that Matches has escaped into the apartment, and I haven't need him for about a week now. We'll find him, so no worries. I leave food out for him.

Lacuna has been an absolute angel, although she did bite me today. Admittedly, that's my fault for sticking my fingers near her mouth before washing the food smell off of them. She's been able to get in and out of her cage, and she always goes back in, so there's really no problem there. Everyone is eating well, even Winston. He's actually decided he likes green things, even after vehemently denying it for weeks now.
In other news, Winston bites. Alot. Enough to warrant an 'I Bite' sign on his cage.

In OTHER other news, everyone's doing pretty good. I'm trying to organize some reptile awareness stuff  in my area, but my resources are limited in terms of numbers and manpower.

I'd like to end this post with a joke, but I couldn't think of one.
